The Legend Of Zelda’s First Lego Set Has Arrived – Great Deku Tree 2-In-1 Is Shipping Now

Lego’s First Legend of Zelda Collaboration

Lego’s Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 building kit recently made its debut as the first collaboration between Lego and The Legend of Zelda. This 2,500-piece kit is a tribute to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and the classic N64 game, Ocarina of Time. Currently, it is only available at Lego Stores, so if you’re interested, it’s advisable to make your purchase soon. Exclusive items like these often transition from “available now” to “backordered” upon release. In such cases, customers typically have to wait about 60 days for their orders to ship. Orders placed now come with free shipping and have a standard delivery window of three to five days.

The set includes four minifigures, two from each game. Ocarina of Time characters include Young Link with Deku Shield and Kokiri Sword accessories, as well as Link with his ocarina. From Breath of the Wild, fans will get Link and Princess Zelda minifigures.

Additional brick-built characters in the set include Koroks, Deku Babas, a Deku Sprout, Navi the Fairy, a Skulltula, and Hestu with maracas. The finished build features an animated face on the Great Deku Tree from Breath of the Wild, controlled by a lever on its back. The Ocarina Of Time version showcases an opening mouth that reveals a Skulltula monster.

Other details in the set pay homage to the games, such as a Lego version of Link’s House and the Master Sword pedestal. These are smaller builds meant to accompany the Great Deku Tree. Lego deliberately chose the Great Deku Tree to showcase its versatility and connect with Legend of Zelda fans.

The Great Deku Tree is part of a limited selection of Lego Nintendo sets geared towards adults or experienced builders. While most Lego Nintendo products are playsets based on franchises like Super Mario and Donkey Kong, there is also a growing lineup of Lego playsets based on Animal Crossing.

For fans eagerly awaiting the next Lego Nintendo display set, a retro-inspired Super Mario set inspired by Super Mario World will be available on October 1. This 1,215-piece set allows nostalgic fans to build a pixelated figure of Mario and Yoshi. Mario comes equipped with his iconic cape power-up, and a crank on the display stand animates the figure. Preorders for the Mario & Yoshi set are exclusive to Target and the Lego Store, priced at $130.
