Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen Anniversary Celebration
Exciting news for Pokémon fans in North America as the official Pokémon social media account recently recognized the 20th anniversary of Pokémon FireRed Version and LeafGreen Version.
Originally released in September 2004, these Game Boy Advance titles were remakes of the classic Pokémon games on Game Boy. Players could also enjoy wireless connectivity through the Game Boy Advance Wireless Adapter.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of FireRed and LeafGreen on Nintendo’s Switch Online subscription service. While some Pokémon titles are already available on the service, fans are still waiting for a mainline release.
Recently, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team joined the service, adding to the excitement of this anniversary celebration. This North American milestone follows an earlier celebration in Japan back in January.
