How to Enhance Your Arsenal in Towerborne
If you’re finding yourself struggling in Towerborne, upgrading your equipment might be the key to turning the tide. Whether you’re facing a new Danger Level or exploring uncharted territories, boosting your gear can make a world of difference.
To begin the enhancement process, head to the Forge located in the Belfry (as seen in the image above). From there, navigate to the Weapons or Gear Tab, select the item you wish to upgrade, and press the corresponding button (A for controllers, Space for keyboards).
Keep in mind that upgrading your gear requires Spirit Dust, which can be obtained by completing missions and dismantling unnecessary equipment. Dismantling is a great way to generate more Spirit Dust, so don’t hesitate to part ways with gear you no longer need.
Item rarity plays a significant role in the upgrade process. The rarity of an item determines how many times it can be upgraded. For instance, rare armor can typically be enhanced twice.
When you upgrade an item, its level and base values increase while certain stats, such as Poison Damage, remain unchanged.

If you’re looking to acquire more Spirit Dust, dismantling equipment at the Forge is the way to go. While the process may seem a bit cumbersome at first, using the “Mark Mode” function can streamline the mass-dismantling process.
To utilize Mark Mode, press the Right Stick (C on keyboard) to begin marking unwanted items with the Y button (R on keyboard). Exit Mark Mode by pressing B (ESC on keyboard), then initiate the Bulk Dismantle by pressing X (F on keyboard).
During the early stages of the game, it’s advisable to part ways with low-level gear as you’ll frequently come across superior loot through regular gameplay.
Strategic Upgrade Timing in Towerborne
