While this significantly reduces Crime and slightly lowers Trust, it also unlocks the Mobilise Prison Wardens District ability, providing extra Guard Squads but decreasing the Prison’s impact on Crime. Additionally, it increases the capacity for Detainees by 500.
Punitive Prison: Equipped with disciplinary tools, this type of prison focuses on re-educating criminals through corporal punishment. Tension may increase slightly, but Crime is significantly reduced. It also unlocks the Conscript Inmates District ability, providing additional Guard Squads while decreasing the Prison’s impact on Crime. This prison also has a capacity for 500 Detainees.
Isolation Prison: Intended for hardened criminals serving their sentences, this facility bears similarities to the Thought-Correction Prison in terms of crime outcomes and District Abilities.
The Isolation Prison is well-received by both New Londoners and Frostlanders, with no negative impact on Tension or Trust, making it a suitable choice for your initial Prison construction.
