Nintendo Switch OLED Deals at Amazon

The Mario Red Nintendo Switch OLED is currently available for the discounted price of $295 on Amazon. Originally priced at $350, this special edition console has been hard to find at major retailers throughout 2024. Amazon recently restocked this eye-catching all-red system, making it the cheapest Switch OLED available right now. Additionally, Amazon is offering the Switch OLED with white Joy-Con controllers for $309. For fans of Zelda, the Tears of the Kingdom Switch OLED is back in stock at its regular retail price of $360.

Nintendo Switch OLED Features

The OLED screen on the Switch OLED offers a noticeable upgrade over the base model’s LCD screens and the handheld-only Switch Lite. In addition to providing a better visual experience in handheld mode, the Switch OLED boasts a longer battery life, an improved dock with an ethernet port, and a more stable kickstand for tabletop mode.

If you’re looking to enhance your Joy-Con experience or switch to third-party controllers, consider accessories like Satisfye’s ZenGrip Ronin or the Nitro Deck attachment. The Nitro Deck offers remappable back buttons, Hall Effect analog sticks, larger buttons/triggers, and a conventional D-pad, with various design options available, including a Super Nintendo-style controller. Pair your Mario Red Switch OLED with Super Mario Bros. Wonder for $46 (originally $60) or explore other Mario titles like Super Mario Maker 2, Super Mario RPG, or Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Additionally, the Hyrule Edition Switch Lite is set to launch this week, coinciding with the release of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.

Nintendo has also announced new Mario Kart Switch bundles set to release in October, featuring either a standard Nintendo Switch with red and blue Joy-Con controllers or a Switch OLED model with white Joy-Cons. These bundles will include a digital copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and a 12-month subscription card for Nintendo Switch Online. The standard bundle is priced at $300, while the Switch OLED bundle will cost $350.

Looking ahead, Nintendo has several exclusive Switch titles scheduled for release in 2025, including Mario Party Jamboree, Mario & Luigi: Brothership, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, Pokemon Legends: Z-A, and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. Despite the possibility of a new Switch successor console in the future, the current lineup of exclusive games and the extensive back catalog make owning a Nintendo Switch a worthwhile investment.
