PS5 Pro Preorders and Enhanced Games
The PS5 Pro preorder phase has ended, leaving gamers eagerly anticipating its launch in November to get their hands on the new and improved Sony console. With over 50 games already confirmed to be PS5 Pro enhanced, players can look forward to experiencing the hardware’s top features once the console is released.
Confirmed PS5 Pro Enhanced Games
The PS5 Pro promises enhanced performance through AI upscaling, a larger GPU, and improved ray tracing capabilities. While these features come at a higher price point, game developers will need to update their titles to fully utilize these new enhancements.
According to a comprehensive list compiled by Reddit user ZXXII on the PS5 subreddit, a total of 54 games have been confirmed to be PS5 Pro enhanced. This includes a mix of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s flagship titles and popular third-party games that will take advantage of the console’s upgraded GPU, advanced ray tracing, and AI-driven upscaling.
- Alan Wake 2
- Assassin’s Creed Shadows
- The Callisto Protocol
- And more…
As more games are released, this list is expected to expand, offering PS5 Pro owners a growing selection of titles optimized for the new console’s capabilities.
While some games may run at native 4K resolution and 60 frames per second on the PS5 Pro, others may target 30 fps and still be classified as enhanced for the console. Additionally, the AI-driven upscaling feature of the PS5 Pro will provide visual and performance improvements even for backward compatible PS4 games through the Game Boost feature.
Set to launch on November 7, 2024, the PS5 Pro will be priced at $699.99. In celebration of PlayStation’s 30th anniversary, Sony unveiled a limited edition themed console inspired by its first console. However, preorders for this special edition quickly sold out, leaving many players disappointed.
