PSN Down (September 30 / October 1, 2024)

Global PSN Outage on September 30 / October 1, 2024

Users around the world are currently experiencing a widespread PlayStation Network (PSN) outage that started earlier tonight. Sony has acknowledged the issue, but as of now, the problem remains unresolved.

This outage is affecting all regions, making it impossible for players to access the network and enjoy online gaming. According to the PSN status webpage, all network services are currently experiencing disruptions, except for PlayStation Direct.

Sony released a statement saying, “You might have difficulty signing in or creating an account for PlayStation Network. We’re working on resolving the issue as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.” Players are also experiencing difficulties launching games, apps, or utilizing network features, including making purchases on the PS Store.

At the moment, the PS App is not loading properly, and related services like PS Stars are also affected by the outage.

Earlier today, Sony had to deal with a separate issue where technical problems led to PS5 consoles being bombarded with ads and unwanted content. Fortunately, this issue has been fixed since then, with some players finding humor in the situation, suggesting that Sony may have broken something in the process.
