A New Mobile Game from The Sims Universe
A new mobile game within The Sims universe has been discovered on the Google Play Store. Titled “The Sims Labs: Town Stories,” this game is part of The Sims Labs platform, which acts as a testing ground for upcoming products and features.
Described as “an all-new exciting building simulation game,” The Sims Labs: Town Stories is set in the town of Plumbrook, where your character has recently moved to. From the screenshots available, it appears that gameplay will involve traditional building and interacting with town residents in The Sims style.
Early Gameplay Footage Revealed
While The Sims Labs: Town Stories is not yet available for download, an anonymous source on Twitter has shared some early gameplay footage. According to them, the game features a semi-open world environment and utilizes assets from The Sims Mobile and The Sims FreePlay.
One interesting aspect of the leaked footage is the interaction with Bella Goth, a beloved character from The Sims series. Fans can expect some nostalgic references in the game, with an interface similar to previous mobile versions but featuring some elements borrowed from The Sims Mobile.
However, it’s evident that the game is still in the early stages of development, as placeholder assets and visual bugs are present, including issues with character animations and lighting. Despite these imperfections, the prospect of a new game in The Sims franchise is exciting, and fans are eagerly awaiting more details.
If you prefer to play an already released game, The Sims 4 is currently available for free on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PlayStation 5 through backwards compatibility.
