Game Customers Experience Delayed Deliveries
GAME customers who pre-ordered Silent Hill 2 are finally receiving their deliveries, but many are facing an unexpected issue – receiving the wrong version of the game.
According to reports from Eurogamer, customers who pre-ordered the pricier £65 version of the game have instead received the standard edition.
Some customers have received a message from GAME stating that their Steelbook will be shipped separately, although there is no indication of when it will arrive. Others have not received any communication regarding the delay.
In addition to these delivery issues, some customers have raised concerns about GAME no longer displaying older pre-orders on its website. This means customers are unable to cancel pre-orders and purchase the game elsewhere.
Customers have reported difficulty in getting a clear response from GAME’s customer support, with some receiving contradictory information and unclear replies to their queries.
Technical Difficulties Stemming from System Switch
The problems with pre-orders and deliveries seem to have originated from GAME’s switch to systems owned by its parent company, Frasers Group, in late August. As a result, pre-orders made on or before August 19 no longer appear in customers’ online accounts.
Many customers have taken to social media platforms to express their frustrations with the situation. Reddit and Twitter are filled with posts from concerned customers seeking answers about their pre-orders.
Eurogamer reached out to Frasers Group, the parent company of GAME, for clarification on these issues but has not received a response yet.
