What Are You Playing This Weekend? (12th October)

Jim Norman, Staff Writer

Last weekend, instead of finishing Zelda, I found myself engrossed in Digital Eclipse’s Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition. Although I plan to return to Hyrule soon, I couldn’t resist the charm of worm-based tactics. Additionally, I had a delightful time with Astro Bot, saving more adorable characters.

This weekend, I’ll be working on reviews for a few games, including [REDACTED], [REDACTED], and [REDACTED]. However, if time allows, I’ll be diving deeper into Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 remake. The game’s faithfulness to the original with enhanced experiences has captivated me. I also intend to squeeze in some matches of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on my Switch.

This weekend, my focus is entirely on work for my upcoming birthday and the release of my new music album. I’m in crunch mode, so there’s no gaming for me. However, I’m keeping an eye out for updates related to F-Zero, StarFox, and Metroid in the Alarmo game. The Great Fairy’s “musings” will have to suffice for now.

Despite it being CANADIAN THANKSGIVINGS weekend, I plan to spend time trying to find enjoyment in Echoes of Wisdom, even though it hasn’t been as fulfilling as I hoped. My interest in metroidvania games continues, and I’m already looking for more titles similar to The Witness. The possibility of exploring the Outer Wilds DLC also intrigues me, alongside my excitement for a new writing gig.

Although I intended to finish Zelda, I got distracted by the allure of exploring the entire map and collecting echoes. I hope to tackle some dungeons soon. Additionally, I’m eager to dive into Natsu-Mon, World of Goo 2, or Can of Wormholes, but with household tasks like replacing taps and repairing a boiler, my gaming time may be limited. Wouldn’t a sleep substitute pill come in handy for clearing my gaming backlog?

Have a fantastic weekend, everyone!
