Developer Powersnake Unveils Voidwrought: A New Horror Metroidvania
Earlier this year, Powersnake made an appearance at the Future Games Show Spring Showcase to introduce Voidwrought, a forthcoming horror metroidvania that seems to draw inspiration from Hollow Knight.
Scheduled to launch on the Switch eShop on October 24th, Voidwrought immerses players in a spooky underground realm filled with strategic combat and treacherous platforming challenges. The game’s art style and movement mechanics evoke memories of Team Cherry’s Hollow Knight, but this title promises to offer more than just a mere imitation. The introduction of a shrine-building objective hints at a more hopeful atmosphere compared to the grim setting of Hallownest.
