Unlock Time for Alan Wake 2 DLC The Lake House
Players who have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Alan Wake 2 DLC, The Lake House, won’t have to wait much longer. The release date has been confirmed for October 22, 2024. The unlock time for The Lake House is set for 8 a.m. EST/ 5 a.m. PST on that day.
For those who already own the Deluxe Edition, they will be able to access The Lake House at the specified time. If you do not currently have the Deluxe Edition, you can upgrade for $20 on the PSN Store. Alternatively, players who have yet to purchase Alan Wake 2 can acquire the game along with its two expansions for $79.99. Opting for the Deluxe Edition will grant players access to both the Night Springs and The Lake House expansions.
In addition to the release of The Lake House, Remedy has also announced an upcoming update that will bring quality of life improvements to the game. While the specifics of these improvements have not been disclosed, the developers promise to share more details in the near future.
The latest trailer for The Lake House provides a glimpse into what players can expect from the Alan Wake 2 DLC. Players will take on the role of FBC Agent Estevez as they navigate a research station located in Cauldron Lake. Unlike the Night Springs DLC, The Lake House will offer a tone that is more in line with the base game, delving deeper into the Remedy Connected Universe.
According to a recent post on Xbox Wire by Rowley, “This mission is structured like a more traditional survival horror game, with a large open environment for players to explore, secrets to uncover, and challenging enemies to face. Narrative remains a central focus of the expansion, encouraging players to explore and discover the various narrative elements scattered throughout the environment.”
Not stopping at The Lake House, Remedy also unveiled a new Control spinoff titled FBC: Firebreak during the Xbox Partner Preview showcase. The spinoff is set to launch on PS Plus Extra and Premium in 2025.
