8BitDo Releases Black Myth: Wukong-Themed Controller
PC gamers looking to enhance their gaming experience with Black Myth: Wukong can now snag a themed controller from 8BitDo. The controller, part of an official collaboration with GameScience, comes in both wireless and wired versions, catering to different preferences and budgets.
Featuring a transparent shell adorned with emblems and artwork from Black Myth: Wukong, the controller mirrors the design of 8BitDo’s Ultimate 2C model. Despite its budget-friendly price point, it offers durable Hall Effect joysticks and triggers, a turbo button, and an extra pair of remappable shoulder buttons for dynamic in-game customization without the need for an app. However, it’s important to note that the Ultimate 2C does not support 8BitDo’s customization app.
For those who prefer a more premium controller from 8BitDo, the company’s other Ultimate controllers are also worth considering. The 8BitDo Ultimate Wireless and Ultimate Bluetooth Controller allow for in-depth customization through the official Ultimate software, enabling users to fine-tune stick and trigger sensitivity, create custom profiles and macros, adjust stick deadzones, and more. With remappable back buttons, rumble support, and charging docks included, these controllers offer versatility and functionality across various platforms, including PC, Mac, Steam Deck, mobile, and Nintendo Switch.
Currently, the 8BitDo Ultimate Bluetooth Controller is priced at $54 (down from $60) on Amazon, while the 8BitDo Ultimate 2.4GHz Wireless Controller is available for $45 (down from $50).
Additionally, 8BitDo has unveiled the new Ultimate 3-Mode Xbox Controller, specially designed for Xbox and PC gamers. Priced at $63 (down from $70), this officially licensed controller supports Bluetooth connectivity on mobile devices, wireless functionality with a 2.4GHz dongle on PC, and wired usage on Xbox. Despite the “3-Mode” moniker, this controller boasts advanced features and compatibility with the Xbox version of the Ultimate software.
