New Buffs for Phoenix in Valorant Patch 9.10
After a long wait, Phoenix, one of Valorant’s original Duelists, is finally receiving a much-needed buff. While agents like Jett and Neon have gained popularity over time, Phoenix has been somewhat overlooked. That’s all set to change with the upcoming Valorant Patch 9.10, which brings exciting changes for Phoenix.
New Phoenix Changes
In Patch 9.10, Phoenix will see significant updates to his abilities, particularly his Curveball Flash and Blaze Wall.
- Blaze Wall
- With the latest patch, Blaze Wall will now be able to pass through walls, similar to Harbor’s High Tide ability. Previously, Phoenix’s Blaze Wall would dissipate upon hitting a surface, but now it can traverse walls for up to 21 meters. Additionally, Blaze Wall will continue to heal Phoenix and damage any enemies who cross through it.
- Curveball Flash
- Phoenix’s Curveball Flash will now be upgraded to a signature ability, granting him two charges with an extra recharge for every two kills. Previously, Phoenix was the only duelist without a recharge mechanic upon securing kills.
These adjustments are designed to elevate Phoenix to the same level as other Duelists like Jett, Reyna, and Raze. The enhancements to his Curveball Flash ability will make chaining kills easier, improving his win rate in 1v1 situations. Additionally, the updated Blaze Wall will assist players in creating space to execute site entries and support team objectives effectively.
Release Date for Phoenix Changes
The new changes for Phoenix are set to be rolled out alongside Patch 9.10 on November 19, 2024. As the current patch is 9.07, players can anticipate the changes to be introduced gradually in the upcoming weeks leading up to the major update in Patch 9.10.
