YouTube denies Dr Disrespect’s request to re-monetise his channel

YouTube Denies Dr Disrespect’s Appeal for Monetization

YouTube has decided to deny Guy “Dr Disrespect” Beahm’s appeal to monetize his channel for an additional 60 days. In a livestream, Beahm shared that YouTube had postponed his appeal for another two months, meaning he will have to wait before being eligible to re-apply.

During this period, Beahm will not be able to generate any revenue from subscriptions or advertisements on his channel, which currently boasts 4.5 million subscribers.

“Actually Champs – unfortunately, they pushed it back another 60 days,” Beahm disclosed. “Believe it or not, they waited ’til the very last second last night to tell us, uh, ‘we’re going to, uh, extend, just for another 60 days, and then you’ll be eligible to re-apply, and we’ll review the application’.”

“But you know what, though, Champs? Okay. Then let’s just wait another 60 days.”

Beahm hinted at having something “much, much bigger” in the pipeline – claiming it to be “one of the biggest opportunities to date,” without providing further details.

Earlier in June, Beahm acknowledged engaging in behavior that “leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate” with a minor. This came after Twitch’s former account director, Cody Conners, mentioned an individual banned from the platform for inappropriate conduct towards a minor, later linked to Beahm.

Following these revelations, Robert Bowling, Beahm’s co-founder at developer Midnight Society, distanced himself from the streamer, leading to several long-term partners terminating their agreements. Beahm recently resurfaced in a heated YouTube stream, accusing Conners and certain journalists of a “planned and coordinated attack.” Beahm mentioned this ahead of a 25th September opportunity to reapply for partnership on YouTube and re-monetize his channel, a request that has now been turned down.
