PUBG studio unveils top-down PvP shooter Project ARC, with ‘real-time shared line of sight’

Project ARC: PUBG Studios Reveals New Top-Down Shooter

PUBG Studios, known for the popular game PUBG, has announced Project ARC, a new 5v5 PvP shooter with a top-down perspective and a unique “shared real-time line of sight” feature.

Described as a “realistic and fast-paced top-down shooting experience inspired by PUBG: Battlegrounds,” Project ARC promises intense and skill-based gunfights using a variety of weapons such as assault rifles, submachine guns, shotguns, snipers, grenade launchers, and more.

The gameplay revolves around the “widely-known bomb mission rules” set by publisher Krafton, with teams either hacking or defending a hidden crypt in each match. The hacking team’s objective is to breach the walls, access the crypt, and install a Decrypter device, while the defending team must prevent them from doing so.

Project ARC offers a top-down view and introduces a shared real-time line of sight mechanic. This feature allows for immediate non-verbal communication and cooperation among teammates, enabling fast-paced close-quarters combat experiences.

Each character in Project ARC comes with their unique set of preferred weapons and gadgets, including grenades, recon drones, grenade launchers, proximity explosives, flashbangs, and smoke grenades.

While a specific release date for Project ARC has not been announced yet, the game is expected to be available on Steam. Stay tuned for more updates and check out the action-packed announcement trailer above.
