Atari 50 Reveals The First Console War DLC Lineup
With Atari 50’s The Wider World of Atari DLC now in the rearview mirror, attention shifts to the upcoming release of The First Console War DLC on 8th November. This expansion delves into the rivalry between Atari and Mattel’s Intellivision during the late 70s and 1980s.
The First Console War DLC not only explores the history but also marks a significant moment in the gaming world as Atari recently acquired the Intellivision brand and over 200 games from its catalog. The DLC will feature a new in-game timeline, eight video segments, and interviews with key figures like M Network programmer Jane Terjung, David Crane, Garry Kitchen from Activision, and video game historians Leonard Hermand and Mike Mika.

Atari 50’s The First Console War DLC is expected to be priced at around $7.99/£6.69 and will be available for PC, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PS5 on November 8th. Additionally, Atari 50 will release a new standalone digital Expanded Edition on the same day, comprising the base game, both paid expansions, and previous free updates, totaling 153 games. A physical Expanded Edition priced at $39.99 USD will launch for Switch and PS5 simultaneously.
