Great news, the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 double XP weekend has been extended

If you’re currently leveling up in the newly released Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, then you’re in for a treat as the ongoing 2XP, 2X Weapon XP, and 2X GobbleGum earn rate event has been extended until November 5.

Developer Treyarch tweeted that they’ve fixed an issue with 2XP rewards and decided to extend the bonus period. The event will now run until 10:00 PT / 18:00 GMT on Tuesday.

For those unaffected by the problem, this extension brings more opportunities to earn double XP and level up faster. The event started on November 1 alongside the release of the Nuketown 24/7 playlist featuring the popular Nuketown map.

I took advantage of the bonus XP over the weekend and now I’m just a few matches away from hitting the second prestige. With the event prolonged, I should easily reach the required level during my gaming session later tonight.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launched on October 25 and quickly achieved the title of the “biggest ever” launch for the franchise.

After spending numerous hours playing since the release, I gave the game a stellar four and a half stars in my Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 review, praising it as “an exceptional first-person shooter with a gripping campaign and top-notch graphics.”
