PS Plus Extra has recently reintroduced a game back into its lineup that was removed from the service just five months ago, causing some gamers to express their disappointment with the refresh of the November/December 2024 catalogue. The popular title, Grand Theft Auto V from 2013, had left the service back in June, and despite its popularity, some players were not pleased to see it being re-released on PS Plus for the second time in the same month.
GTA V not the only game re-released on PS Plus in November 2024
Towards the end of last month, Sony unveiled the PS Plus Essential monthly lineup for November 2024, with Ghostwire: Tokyo as its main attraction. The game from Tango Gameworks had previously been part of the Extra tier, and it had been removed from the service a little over seven months ago before making a return.
However, Ghostwire: Tokyo’s situation was slightly different as it belonged to a different tier before being included in the Essential tier. On the other hand, GTA V was part of the same tier just five months ago.
One Reddit user expressed their frustration by saying, “To promote GTA V as a major new addition to PS Plus when it’s already been included multiple times is unbelievable.” Another user questioned, “At this point, who doesn’t already own GTA V?” Similar sentiments were echoed across various gaming communities and social media platforms.
Despite the complaints, GTA V continues to be a massive success in terms of sales, indicating that there is still a significant number of players who are delighted to see the game back in the lineup.
