The Depths Key is a Legendary item added in the latest update, hidden in a secret location. It serves as the key to unlock The Depths, a mysterious area in the game. Acquiring this key can be challenging due to its rarity, but once you hook it, a yellow exclamation mark will appear above your character, signifying success in the fishing mini-game and adding the key to your inventory.

How to Find The Depths Key in Fisch?

To find The Depths Key, players must venture to Vertigo and fish in the area. Vertigo is a hidden location that can’t be accessed directly from any island. Look for an unusual whirlpool in the ocean, randomly generated on the server, to indicate the location. Head towards the white wind-like lines in the distance to reach Vertigo.

Identify the strange whirlpool among the normal ones that emit no wind. Dive into this whirlpool to be teleported to Vertigo.

To exit Vertigo, players need C$444 to purchase the Conception Conch from a merchant named Synth in the area.

Players can fish in Vertigo at any time, under any weather conditions, to have a chance at obtaining The Depths Key. There’s no specific bait required, so keep fishing until you secure the key.

How to use The Depths Key?

After achieving a 100% Bestiary completion in Vertigo, players can use The Depths Key to unlock The Depths. The Vertigo Bestiary includes various creatures like Twilight Eel, Fangborn Gar, Abyssacuda, Voidfin Mahi, Rubber Ducky, Isonade, among others.

Head to the hidden area filled with red crystals on the map after collecting all creatures in the Bestiary. Locate the Keeper NPC with glowing pink eyes near your fishing spot and give the key to unlock the gate.

Once the gate is open, traverse through the obstacle course where rocks will fall as you progress. Only the player who opened the gate can access this area. Complete the course to enter The Depths and start fishing to complete the bestiary.

The Depths Bestiary

Within The Depths, players will encounter a variety of fish species such as Deep-sea Dragonfish, Depth Octopus, Black Dragon Fish, Goblin Shark, Nautilus, Ancient Eel, and more. Additionally, there’s a challenging maze that must be completed to obtain the valuable Rod of the Depths, requiring specialty relics.
