Toy manufacturer Lego has unveiled a brand new set inspired by the recently released video game, Lego Horizon Adventures. This marks the first collaboration between Lego and the Horizon franchise.
The set, titled Lego Horizon Adventures Aloy & Varl vs. Shell-Walker & Sawtooth, is set to hit stores on March 1, 2025. Priced at $44.99 / £39.99, the set includes 768 pieces and features two minifigures – protagonist Aloy and her companion Varl.
In this set, Aloy and Varl are depicted battling against two formidable robotic creatures – the Shell-Walker and the Sawtooth. The Sawtooth figure stands tall at over 7 inches / 18cm high, making it a visually striking piece in the set.
For fans of the Horizon franchise, this Lego set provides a more affordable option to obtain the Aloy mini-figure, which was previously only available in a more expensive set. According to Guerrilla Games art director Roy Postma, “Lego Horizon Adventures has introduced Aloy and the Horizon universe to a new audience, and we are thrilled with the game’s reception. This new set allows players to extend the excitement of the game in a Lego format.”
Lego branded games product lead Kate Bryant added, “Bringing gaming franchises like Horizon to life in physical Lego form is a fantastic way to engage fans. We aim to provide a seamless play experience that allows our fans to enhance their favorite games in their own creative way.”
The Lego Horizon Adventures game, which launched earlier this month, is currently available on PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
In a review of Lego Horizon Adventures by Sarah Thwaites, the game’s captivating Lego world and humor were highlighted as standout features. However, the mechanics were deemed lacking, preventing the game from fully realizing its potential.
