Understanding the Genshin Impact Battle Pass
Once you reach Adventurer Rank 20 in Genshin Impact, the Battle Pass feature is unlocked. This pass utilizes a separate leveling system, where you must complete daily and weekly quests to progress.
How the Genshin Impact battle pass functions
Completing quests will earn you Battle Pass EXP, with 1,000 EXP needed to go up one level. These quests may involve defeating Trounce Domain bosses or completing daily commissions. Players can earn up to 10,000 BP EXP per week, with the pass capped at 50 levels. Battle Passes typically refresh every six weeks following a patch update.

Comparison: Sojourner’s Battle Pass (free) vs. Gnostic Hymn Battle Pass (paid)
There are two versions of the Battle Pass in Genshin Impact. The free Sojourner’s Battle Pass offers rewards like Mora, Adventurer’s Experience, Mystic Enchantment Ores, or Sanctifying Unction. Every 10 levels grant you an Acquaint Fate.
The paid Gnostic Hymn Battle Pass, priced at $9.99, provides additional Mora, Hero’s Wit, Mystic Enchantment Ores, Sanctifying Essence, and a Sanctifying Elixir for crafting custom artifacts. At level 30, a bounty box allows selection of a four-star weapon. Intertwined Fates are rewarded every 10 levels.
For an additional $19.99, the Gnostic Chorus offers the same benefits as the Gnostic Hymn Battle Pass but starts at level 10. It includes exclusive rewards like a name-card style, furniture-blueprint, and Fragile Resin. Gnostic Chorus is discounted for Gnostic Hymn owners.
Both Battle Pass versions provide Fates for gacha wishes every 10 levels, with Acquaint Fates in the free pass and Intertwined Fates in the Gnostic Hymn pass.
