Black Myth: Wukong DLC Teased for Release

Although not officially confirmed, the presence of a Black Myth: Wukong DLC is becoming more apparent. Game director Feng Ji’s recent hint suggests that the DLC may soon be revealed to eager fans.

Expected Release Date for Black Myth: Wukong DLC

Insider Gaming reported on the tease of the Black Myth: Wukong DLC at the Golden Joysticks Awards. During the acceptance speech for Game of the Year, Ji left the audience with the cryptic message, “there might just be some surprises waiting for you later this year.” This could mean that new content for the highly acclaimed game could be launching by the end of the year.

While it is possible that this announcement may pertain to Black Myth: Wukong’s Xbox release, Ji’s prior statement hinted at the surprise being geared towards players who have already completed the game. As The Game Awards approach, speculation grows that a DLC reveal might be in store, especially considering the game’s nomination for multiple categories, including Game of the Year.

Since its release in August, Black Myth: Wukong has become one of the most successful video games of the year, selling over 20 million units on PS5 and PC. Despite a slight decline in rankings, it remains one of the most popular downloads on PS5, with Sony attributing significant growth in third-party software sales to the action RPG.

PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers have the opportunity to try out Black Myth: Wukong with a two-hour trial currently available. This allows players to experience Game Science’s RPG and decide if it’s a worthwhile investment.
