Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 deploys new patch, offers advice for players experiencing “stability issues”

Developer Recommends Moving Community Packages for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Players

Asobo, the developer of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, has issued a recommendation to players experiencing stability issues or long loading times. In the latest release notes for version 1.1.9.0, Asobo advised players to relocate their outdated community packages from the Community Folder to another location and then relaunch the game.

The statement from Asobo mentioned, “If you are playing on PC, outdated packages in your Community Folder may have an unexpected impact on the title’s performance and behaviour. If you suffer from stability issues or long loading times, move your Community package(s) to another folder before relaunching the title.”

Aside from this recommendation, the patch also addresses specific crashes related to selecting “As Arrival” in the EFB and changing the Drone focus mode option. Various other crashes across the game have also been resolved.

Several general bug fixes have been included in this update, such as the missing cursor on the Xbox Live sign-in popup, issues with losing focus when creating a new input profile, and accessibility problems with aircraft selection within the control menu. Additionally, a fix has been implemented for an issue where players could get stuck when accessing the menu bar from any help page.

Earlier this week, the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 team expressed their apologies for the game’s rocky debut, acknowledging the unexpected influx of players at launch. They admitted that the launch experience fell short of their expectations.

On a different note, it was revealed that Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 borrowed animal assets from Planet Zoo. According to Flight Simulator boss Jorg Neumann, the request to use animals from Planet Zoo was granted by CEO Jonny Watts.
