Thanksgiving may not be the typical time for receiving gifts, but Digital Extremes is breaking tradition by offering a special giveaway of Dark Sector, their 2008 third-person shooter. This limited time offer allows players to claim the game for free until November 30.
Digital Extremes made the announcement on X and also on Dark Sector’s page on Steam, where players can easily grab their copy of the game.
Dark Sector is credited with inspiring the popular game Warframe, also developed by Digital Extremes. The game, originally released on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3, follows the story of covert operative Hayden Tenno as he embarks on a dangerous mission in the Eastern European nation of Lasria. Infected by the Technocyte Virus, Hayden gains superhuman abilities that might just give him a fighting chance to survive the deadly secret he uncovers.
Earlier this year, Digital Extremes provided a sneak peek of the upcoming expansion for Warframe, titled Warframe: 1999. Set in an alternate Earth, this expansion promises an exciting new adventure for players. Moreover, the studio fulfilled a child’s Make-A-Wish request to become a voice actor in the upcoming expansion, showcasing their commitment to their community.
