Fortnite Just Broke Another Record

Fortnite Hosts Record-Breaking Concert Event

Fortnite recently wrapped up Remix Chapter 2 with an epic Remix Finale event, setting a new record for the game’s in-game concerts. According to the official Fortnite Twitter account, the Remix Finale event was the biggest in-game concert in Fortnite’s history, drawing in over 14 million players.

This event surpassed Travis Scott’s “Astronomical” concert from 2020, which previously held the record with 12.3 million players. Even Ariana Grande’s Rift Tour concert, which took place in the summer of 2021, was unable to surpass Scott’s numbers. While player counts for Grande’s concert were not disclosed, it is clear that the Remix Finale event set a new benchmark for Fortnite concerts.

Fortnite Sets New Player Record

The event featured a lineup of artists including Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Ice Spice, and Juice WRLD. Juice WRLD’s performance was particularly poignant as it was posthumous, with the blessing of the late artist’s mother and record label. This concert marked the first of its kind in three years, reminiscent of the scale of previous iconic Fortnite concerts like Astronomical and Rift Tour.

While the event was a massive success, it fell just short of becoming Fortnite’s biggest live event, a title still held by the Marvel crossover event in December 2020, which saw a peak of 15.3 million players.
