Nintendo Delays Retail Sales Of New Sound Clock Alarmo in Japan
Nintendo’s latest creation, the Sound Clock Alarmo, originally had a limited rollout on Switch Online back in October. The plan was to release it widely in retail stores worldwide at a later date.
However, the retail release for Japan has now been postponed. Initially set for a mid-February 2025 release in Japan, Nintendo has decided to delay it due to production and inventory challenges with the product.
According to a statement (via GoNintendo):
“The Nintendo Sound Clock Alarmo, previously available through a lottery at the My Nintendo Store, will now be available for pre-order in mid-December for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. The product is expected to be delivered in early February 2025. Further updates on pre-orders will be provided.”
“While we had planned to start general sales to non-Nintendo Switch Online subscribers from mid-February 2025, we have decided to postpone this due to production and inventory factors. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and will announce the new sales start date once confirmed.”
“We are committed to producing enough products to reach as many customers as possible and appreciate your understanding.”
Nintendo will inform customers about the start date of the retail sales for the clock once it is finalized. As of now, there is no indication that this delay will impact the release in other regions. Any updates on this will be shared when available.
For Switch Online subscribers, the Alarmo is currently available for purchase in select regions.
