Nintendo Switch 2 accessories have reportedly appeared for sale online, but I’ve seen Bigfoot photos that are more believable

Third-party Nintendo Switch 2 accessories surface on online shopping sites

Some accessories, purportedly designed for the rumored Nintendo Switch 2, have popped up on online shopping websites. These third-party accessories are said to be for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, which has not been officially announced by Nintendo.

Leaked Accessories

According to VGC, the accessories for the Nintendo Switch 2 are currently being sold on Chinese retailer Alibaba. These accessories include a case and a tempered glass screen protector. The screen protector is designed for a larger display, hinting at a potential increase in screen size for the Nintendo Switch 2.

The case, meant for the Nintendo Switch 2, appears to be significantly larger than cases for the original Nintendo Switch. It offers more space for the Joy-Con controllers and features a unique design element that could hint at changes in controller shape for the new console.

Images of the listed products also show their dimensions. The case measures 1.9 inches deep, 5.9 inches tall, and 11.6 inches wide, potentially giving us a rough idea of the size of the Nintendo Switch 2. This size would align more closely with devices like the Steam Deck OLED than the original Nintendo Switch.

One of the products even features a logo that resembles a rough fan-made design, showcasing the current Nintendo Switch emblem with the number two crudely added at the end.

It’s crucial to approach these products with skepticism, as they may not necessarily reflect the final design of the Nintendo Switch 2. These listings could simply be attempts by companies to capitalize on the hype surrounding the upcoming console by creating accessories based on leaked information.

Official Confirmation and Release Date

Nintendo has previously stated that they will announce a successor to the Nintendo Switch “within this fiscal year,” which ends on March 31, 2025. Until an official reveal from Nintendo, the design and features of the Nintendo Switch 2 remain speculative.
