Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector coming to PS5 in late January
Fellow Traveller and Jump Over the Age have officially announced the release date for Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector. PS5 players won’t have to wait long for the sequel to the critically acclaimed dice-driven sci-fi RPG.
Revealed in a brand new Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector trailer, PS5 players can anticipate the game’s arrival on January 31, 2025. This time, the game will be available on PlayStation’s platform on launch day. Take a look at the trailer below to witness its unique dicey gameplay.
“As an escaped Sleeper with a malfunctioning body, players will get a ship, find a crew, navigate relationships, and take on contracts as they explore the Starward Belt – all while trying to survive,” reads the game’s description. “They will have to choose between pushing their luck for greater rewards or potentially taking on stress that damages their dice – their only true means of survival – and accrue glitches in their Sleeper’s system.”
PS5 players who also own a PC can catch a glimpse of Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector a bit early. The limited-time Hexport demo is back on Steam, and will be available until December 8, 2024.
Citizen Sleeper initially debuted in May 2022 for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Nearly a year later in March 2023, it made its way to both PS4 and PS5. The game has been widely acclaimed as one of the best games of 2022, even earning a nomination at The Game Awards. Critics have praised it as well, boasting a Metacritic metascore of 82 based on 23 reviews. Additionally, Steam reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, with “Very Positive” ratings from the 5,433 players who shared their thoughts.
