Hello Adventurers! Today marks a significant milestone for our small studio, IronOak Games. We are delighted to announce that For the King II will be available on Xbox Game Pass starting December 12!
We anticipate that some seasoned players of For the King are reading this, but we also welcome new recruits joining the Resistance. Allow us to share more about what lies ahead…
For The King II serves as the sequel to the immensely popular For The King. It builds upon the success of its predecessor by introducing innovation and engaging gameplay to a beloved RPG that merges rogue-lite elements with tabletop gaming. With multiplayer functionality, grid-based combat, fantastical adventures, and ample opportunities for questionable party decisions, this game promises a thrilling experience. Having been available on Steam for a year already, Xbox users can look forward to the enhanced version of the game, featuring the new infinite dungeon mode, skins, items, and much more!
So, what threatens Fahrul, you may wonder? The once-beloved Queen Rosomon has betrayed her subjects, gained immense power, and allied with both old and new malevolent forces. Form a party of up to four in cooperative multiplayer, or venture solo through Fahrul, risking everything to combat the tyrannical queen and end her oppressive rule.
Entering Fahrul For The First Time?
Each biome features a Sanctum and a Stone Hero. Ensure you locate both before advancing to a new area. Sanctums offer valuable buffs and a revive, while Stone Heroes are essential for quick leveling up.
The Biggest Changes Between For The King and For The King II
An evident change is the expanded party size. For The King II accommodates up to four players for a larger party, or two players who each control two characters. Moreover, combat now takes place on a grid, introducing various new mechanics for AOE spells, tile movement, buffs, debuffs, and row attacks to diversify combat strategies.
Perfect Party Composition
My preferred party setup in Fahrul consists of the Hunter, Herbalist, Busker, and Blacksmith. This combination offers a balance of magical and physical damage, along with flexibility across various stats. As I unlock more characters, I find the Alchemist with the Nimble trait to be a valuable addition to the team.
What Makes For The King II Replayable?
Two aspects contribute to the replay value and addictiveness of FTKII. Firstly, multiplayer allows for diverse playstyles and interactions with different friend groups, making it a versatile game for various gaming sessions. Secondly, the multitude of options in approaching each chapter or the Dark Carnival ensures that no two playthroughs are alike, adding depth to the game’s replayability.
Thank you for embarking on this new adventure with us, and we hope you have a fantastic experience with For The King II!
