  • Discover all the new tanks, Commanders, and the exciting World of Tanks Winter Fest storyline.

Once upon a time, in the midst of a cold winter day, a new concept was born in the world of World of Tanks Modern Armor. It was Winter Fest – a true test of the developers’ creativity! The journey to create it was filled with excitement, and upon completion, they joyfully exclaimed, “That was a blast!”

Winter Fest stands as the grandest holiday event in the history of World of Tanks Modern Armor. According to Art Director Andy Dorizas, the team was determined to move past the traditional Toy Tanks theme and give players a truly distinctive event this year. With a story-driven mode, fresh game features, Commanders, tanks, and more, players will have a plethora of content to explore during the chilly winter days.

The Winter Fest celebration commences with the beloved Happy Holidays mode in World of Tanks Modern Armor. This mode reintroduces the Toy Tanks tradition, featuring four new Toy Tanks with mechanics inspired by the game, ranging from flamethrowers to missiles!

Following the Happy Holidays mode, Winter Fest presents a special two-week PVE event: The Ice Queen’s Lament. This event narrates the story of the Ice Queen’s attempt to expand her icy realm, aiming to make winter the sole season. The chill extends to even threatening Santa’s workshop! Santa calls upon your aid. Utilizing his magic, he transports you to a village in the North Pole that requires rescuing before falling victim to the cold and the Ice Queen’s influence. Your mission involves leading Santa’s toy tanks against the Ice Queen and her minions.

The journey commences on the new Happy Holidays Reloaded map for Act 1, “The Ice Queen’s Curse,” before shifting to a modified rendition of the Ardennes map for Act 2, “The Siege of Frostbite Castle.”

According to Creative Director Thomas Foss, the art and design teams collaborated extensively to craft stunning maps that set the stage for this captivating tale. The first map is an enhanced version of a classic, while the second map divides between Santa’s workshop and village and the Ice Queen’s realm, with Frostbite Castle at the center.

Exclusive mechanics have been devised for this event. Enemy tanks are equipped with ice rockets that freeze your movements, countered only by a time-honored winter tradition: Hot Cocoa, a unique consumable that warms you up and readies you for battle. Confronting the Ice Queen will feel like entering a monumental boss battle, unlike any other encounter on these battlegrounds.

And this is just the beginning! Are you prepared to stride into the Winter Fest Storefront?

The Winter Fest Storefront acts as the hub for all things Winter Fest-related. It serves as an in-game Store where players can delve into the Winter Fest narrative, join special event battles, and utilize Snowballs to acquire tanks, Commanders, Garage Gear (including a yeti fur rug), and more! Snowballs are the exclusive currency for this event, obtainable by completing Challenges, defeating minions, and opening Winter Fest War Chests.

Similar to regular War Chests, Winter Fest War Chests offer varying degrees of rarity for content. Players can unlock a myriad of items, including new Premium tanks, exclusive 3D Winter Fest Commanders like Nigel the Yeti, Nutso! the Nutcracker, and the Ice Queen herself. Additionally, an Ice Queen War Chest is available as downloadable content, offering the ultimate version of the Ice Queen 3D Commander as a potential drop, featuring unique visuals and all Skill slots unlocked.

Commanders require their tanks, and the holiday season introduces several new additions. In World War II mode, the formidable Kampfpanzer 07P(E) heavy tank (with an exclusive Yeti Skin) makes its entrance, while the ATGM-only ELC EVEN NA2 SS-12 for Cold War mode (also sporting a unique Ice Queen Minion Skin) is ready to wreak havoc.

Prepare to be enveloped in holiday cheer within World of Tanks Modern Armor as Winter Fest approaches. Grab a warm beverage, relax, and get ready to embark on this enchanting adventure when Winter Fest goes live on December 10. Happy Holidays!
