CoD: Black Ops 6 And Warzone Patch Notes Detail Huge Weapon Improvements Across All Modes

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Update

A recent update has been released for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone, bringing significant changes to the gameplay experience. The patch notes, released on December 10, outline major weapon adjustments across all modes, focusing on weapon motion, idle sway, and headshot damage improvements.

In response to player feedback, Treyarch has implemented adjustments to improve weapon motion and idle sway for all Black Ops 6 weapons. These changes include reduced visual recoil, turn sway, and idle sway, as well as less weapon bob from motion, resulting in a more stable and fluid combat experience.

According to Treyarch, “We have taken a comprehensive pass on weapon motion and applied reductions across the board to improve the combat experience. Depending on the class and weapon, our targets for these reductions range from 30% to 75%.” Players should notice increased stability while aiming down sights, turning, moving, and firing in all game modes.

Specifically for Black Ops 6, weapon adjustments have been made to enhance headshot damage on most full-auto primary weapons. Assault rifles like the Krig C, Model L, and GPR 91 have received a boost in headshot multiplier from 1.15 to 1.25, while submachine guns and the CHF Barrel attachment have also seen improvements to the headshot multiplier.

World Updates

Weapon Changes

  • Weapon Motion:
    • Reduced visual recoil on all weapons
    • Decreased turn sway, idle sway, and gun kick
    • Improved stability while changing stances and firing

Melee weapons across all modes have been adjusted for quicker attack speeds. The time between melee swings for the knife, baseball bat, and power drill has been decreased, making melee combat more responsive and satisfying.

Furthermore, the update addresses bugs in Zombies mode, including stability improvements and fixes for the storyline Easter egg quest in Citadelle des Morts. Additionally, a minor change in Warzone’s Ranked Play now ensures that Buy Stations spawn in fixed locations identical to unranked modes.
