PlayStation’s YouTube channel recently released a new video showcasing the upcoming games lineup for 2025 on the PS5. However, fans quickly noticed a key omission – Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Wolverine was nowhere to be found in the nearly two-minute long reel.

About a year ago, Insomniac Games faced a major setback when a ransomware attack led to the leak of significant portions of Wolverine’s footage and plot details. Despite this, leaks indicated that the game was well into development and may be further along than previously thought. However, there seems to be conflicting information regarding the game’s release date.
While rumors initially pointed to a 2026 release for Wolverine, recent murmurs suggest a potential late 2025 launch. In fact, in October, a reputable leaker hinted that Sony was preparing to showcase the title soon.
It is possible that the uncertainty surrounding Wolverine’s release date led to its exclusion from the recent trailer. Given that only an announcement trailer has been revealed so far, it could be that Sony is holding off for a more comprehensive unveiling of the game.
