Confirmation has arrived that CD Projekt Red has decided to recast Ciri in The Witcher 4.

Initially, it seemed that the character’s original actor, Jo Wyatt, had been replaced based on the game’s reveal trailer. However, the studio has now made an official announcement.

“Ciara Berkeley was cast as Ciri for The Witcher 4 cinematic reveal trailer,” the studio stated to TheGamer.

“Ciara is a talented actress who impressed us with her enthusiasm and vocal acting skills, and in this trailer we believe she truly brought Ciri to life in a way that is both faithful to the character and exciting for fans of the series.”

While the studio did not provide specific reasons for choosing Berkeley over Wyatt, they did confirm that Berkeley will not only be part of the trailer but will also portray Ciri in the full game.

And for those who were wondering, yes, Doug Cockle, the voice actor for Geralt, made an appearance at the end of The Witcher 4’s reveal trailer. This confirms that the renowned white-haired monster hunter will indeed be featured in the upcoming game.

Although many had already speculated this due to Cockle’s distinctive voice, CD Projekt has now officially verified these assumptions.
