Arrowhead Studios Collaboration with Killzone Revives Beloved PlayStation Franchise
Collaborations have become increasingly common in the world of video games, particularly in live service games. However, Arrowhead Studios took a different approach when considering a crossover for Helldivers 2 – they wanted it to make “perfect sense.” After much anticipation, it seems they have found the ideal partner in a long-dormant and beloved PlayStation franchise.
Helldivers 2 x Killzone Collaboration Unveiled
Arrowhead Studios has officially announced its collaboration with the iconic PlayStation first-person shooter franchise, Killzone. The highly-anticipated Helldivers 2 x Killzone 2 crossover introduces a new tier of Premium content featuring unique and themed items. In addition to this exciting collaboration, players have the opportunity to unlock a special Killzone 2 reward by actively participating in the Galactic War.

Arrowhead Studios shared their enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “We decided a long time ago to do crossovers only if and when they make perfect sense for the game. So in that spirit, we’re hyped to announce our very first crossover: Killzone 2.”
The initial release of Killzone-themed items is now available on the Helldivers 2 Superstore. These exclusive items include an armor set (AC-1 Dutiful), helmet (AC-1 Dutiful), primary weapon (StA-52 Assault Rifle), player banner (Strength in our Arms), cape (Strength in our Arms), and player title (Assault Infantry). Here is the complete list of items and their corresponding Super Credit costs:
- AC-1 Dutiful Armor Set – 500 Super Credits
- AC-1 Dutiful Helmet – 310 Super Credits
- Strength in our Arms Cape – 310 Super Credits
- StA-52 Assault Rifle – 615 Super Credits
- Strength in our Arms Player Banner – 90 Super Credits
- Assault Infantry Player Title – 150 Super Credits
Acquiring all these items will total 1,975 Super Credits, which can be earned through gameplay, albeit at a slower pace. For those eager to obtain the items immediately, an option is available to purchase 2,100 Super Credits for $20. It’s worth noting that this price exceeds the Warbond battle pass, which offers a wider range of items for just $10.
This release marks the first phase of the Helldivers 2 x Killzone crossover, with the second phase scheduled to arrive at the Superstore on December 23, 2024. While the prices for the upcoming items have yet to be disclosed, if they mirror the quantity and type of items in the initial phase, it’s reasonable to expect a similar $20 price point.
