Ex-Capcom Devs Swap Zombies For Curry In Studio’s Upcoming Switch Game

We Love Curry!

We have a little tradition here at Nintendo Life, and among the broader Hookshot family. We often wish each other a happy ‘Curry Friday’ to celebrate the end of the workweek. Curry holds a special place in our hearts. But would we enjoy a game that involves catching falling spices to cook up delicious curry dishes?

Well, we might find out soon as Curry Princess Gold, a new game developed by Birdkin Studio, is set to arrive on the Switch in 2025. This game is the creation of Hideaki Utsumi and Saori Utsumi, a duo who established their own studio after working on popular franchises like Resident Evil at Capcom.

Curry Princess Gold offers a simplistic gameplay experience with a leisurely pace. It’s an expanded version of a mobile game, now with added features like Story Mode, 2P Mode, and Leaderboards.

Game Modes Overview:

– Classic Mode: An endless score-attack challenge, an upgraded version of Curry Princess, initially released on iOS/Android in 2018, now redesigned for consoles with enhanced gameplay.
– Story Mode: Dive into an engaging narrative as you progress through episodes.
– 2P Mode: Engage in local co-op or PvP with a friend, selecting from cleared Story Mode stages.

While details are scarce at the moment, we promise to keep you informed as soon as Curry Princess Gold receives a confirmed release date. We just can’t help but express our love for curry.
