Obtaining Resin in Minecraft
To acquire Resin Clumps, venture into the unique Pale Garden biome, identifiable by its distinct visual features and the presence of the hostile Creaking mob. Keep an eye out for Pale Oak trees and Pale Hanging Moss as indicators of the biome’s location, but proceed cautiously due to the danger posed by the creatures in the area.
Inside the Pale Garden, you’ll encounter the Creaking mob, which is crucial for obtaining resin. The Creaking is impervious to conventional weapons, so you’ll need to find a Creaking Heart within a Pale Oak tree. Destroying this heart will cause the Creaking to vanish and reward you with Resin Clumps.
An intriguing aspect of the Creaking is that it only moves or attacks when you’re not looking at it. Take advantage of this by observing the orange particles that lead you to the specific tree where the Creaking Heart is located.
Head to the tree, strike the Creaking Heart, and collect the Resin Clumps. Utilizing the Fortune III enchantment can enhance your yield, providing up to 6 drops compared to the usual 1-3 drops.
After a 5-second cooldown, you can attack the Creaking again to obtain more Resin Clumps. Additionally, using an explosion or enlisting the help of a pet Wolf can aid in the process. Alternatively, explore Woodland Mansions to find Resin in chests.
Crafting with Resin (Uses)
Resin is a valuable crafting material in Minecraft. Combining 9 Resin Clumps creates a Block of Resin, while smelting Resin Clumps in a Furnace with a fuel source like Coal yields Resin Bricks. These Resin Bricks can be further crafted into Slabs and Chiseled Bricks. Mixing Pale Oak Logs with a Block of Resin allows for the creation of a Creaking Heart.
