Physint, Kojima’s Next PlayStation Game, Suffers Delays

Hideo Kojima recently announced that his upcoming PlayStation game, Physint, is facing delays in development due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. Fans had anticipated the release of Physint around the time of the PS6 launch, but it now seems likely that the game will be exclusive to next-gen consoles.

PlayStation platforms for Physint have yet to be confirmed

In a new year’s eve note on X, Kojima shared his reflections on 2024 and explained that casting for Physint had to be put on hold due to the ongoing actors’ strike. While it remains uncertain when casting will resume, Kojima expressed his hopes of getting back on track in 2025.

Kojima stated, “For [Xbox’s] OD, we were able to develop the game and conduct actor and environment scanning. However, in the latter part of the year, scanning and filming were halted because of the SAG strike. Casting for Physint was also affected by the strike, but we aim to resume activities next year.”

Although the platforms for Physint have not been officially confirmed, it is known that the game will be coming to PlayStation as Sony Interactive Entertainment is collaborating in its development. Physint is described as an action espionage game that will push the boundaries between film and video games.
