WB Games Offers Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League for Free on PlayStation Plus in January
2024 saw the release of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, one of the live-service game failures that caught the attention of many gamers. Unlike Sony’s handling of Concord, WB Games is taking a different approach with the struggling hero shooter developed by Rocksteady Games.
After experimenting with a 95% discount on Steam in November, WB Games is now making Suicide Squad free for all PlayStation Plus subscribers for the entire month of January, starting on Jan. 7. This move is part of the PlayStation Plus Essential lineup for January, which also includes Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered and The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe.
This lineup offers a diverse selection of games. Despite the mixed reviews, Suicide Squad provides an entertaining adventure with unique storytelling elements throughout its four seasons. PlayStation Plus subscribers with a PS5 can enjoy this game for free.
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered is a revamped version of the classic racing game from 2010, developed by Criterion Games. Known for its high-speed police chases in an open-world setting with a West Coast theme, this title is available on PS4 and playable on PS5.
The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is a 2022 enhanced edition of the 2013 indie game known for its thought-provoking exploration of player choice and game creator intentions. This game is available for both PS4 and PS5 users.
All three games in this lineup will be free to download for PlayStation Plus members until Feb. 3.
For those interested in December’s offerings, the deadline to download It Takes Two, Aliens: Dark Descent, and Temtem is Jan. 6.
