Fresh Images of Left Joy-Con for Switch 2 Hardware Posted Online
Recently, new images of what appears to be the left Joy-Con controller for the upcoming ‘Switch 2’ hardware have surfaced online, believed to have originated from China.
Shared on Reddit by ‘thisSubIsAtrocious’ and subsequently spread across social media platforms, the Joy-Con features a new magnetic rail system to connect the controller to the main body of the Switch 2. To set it apart from the current Switch systems, it is predominantly black in color, with the rail itself adorned in light blue.
We also catch a glimpse of a new button on the back of the Joy-Con, likely intended for detaching the Joy-Con from the Switch, along with a pair of sizeable ‘SL’ and ‘SR’ buttons (larger than those on the original Switch). The overall design aligns well with previous leaks and rumors we’ve seen, as well as impressive online mock-ups. Unless this is an incredibly elaborate hoax, it’s probably the final design.
With new photos and details leaking almost daily, it seems like Nintendo’s reveal of the new hardware is imminent. With so much information circulating, it’s reasonable to expect an announcement in the coming days. Let’s keep our fingers crossed!
