Triangle Strategy Returns to the Nintendo Switch eShop

After a brief absence, Triangle Strategy is once again available for purchase on the Nintendo Switch eShop. Square Enix announced the return of the HD-2D strategy RPG, allowing fans to dive back into the tactical gameplay.

The temporary removal of the game from the eShop was due to a change in publishers. Originally a Switch exclusive published by Nintendo in 2022, Triangle Strategy has since expanded its availability to PC and Meta Quest, with Square Enix taking over as the publisher.

This transition in publishers mirrors a similar situation with Octopath Traveler, another HD-2D game that began as a Switch exclusive before branching out to other platforms. The rise of HD-2D continues with the success of last year’s Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake and the upcoming Dragon Quest I & II in the same style, offering a treat for turn-based RPG enthusiasts.
