League of Legends International Events Locations Revealed for 2026 and 2027
Games developer Riot Games has recently announced the locations for its upcoming League of Legends esports events in 2026 and 2027. The news was shared during League of Legends’ first dev blog of 2025 by Riot Games’ Global Head of League of Legends Esports, Chris Greeley, and COO of Esports, Whalen Rozelle.
In 2026, the World Championship is set to take place in North America, marking the return of the prestigious event to the region. The last time North America hosted the League of Legends World Championship was in 2022, with San Francisco, Atlanta, New York, and Mexico City serving as the host cities.
Additionally, in 2026, League of Legends’ First Stand event will head to Brazil, where passionate fans will bring their energy to the competition. This will be the first time since MSI 2017 that Brazil will be hosting an international League of Legends event. Meanwhile, MSI 2026 is scheduled to take place in South Korea.
Looking ahead to 2027, First Stand will venture to Southeast Asia, MSI will return to Europe, and the League of Legends World Championship will once again be held in South Korea.
