Capcom Announces Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta 2
Capcom has officially announced the return of the Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta, just in time for its upcoming February launch. This new beta, titled “Open Beta Test 2”, will feature all the content from the first beta test, along with some exciting additions to entice returning hunters.
Details of Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta 2
The Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta 2 will consist of two test periods. The first phase will commence on February 6 at 7 P.M. PT and will conclude on February 9 at 6:59 P.M. The second phase is scheduled to start on February 13 at 7 P.M. PT and will end on February 16 at 6:59 P.M. Crossplay functionality will be available during both periods, allowing PS5 players to team up with their friends on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Participants of the Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta 2 will have access to all the content from the initial beta, including the character creator, story trial, and Doshaguma Hunt. This new beta period will also feature the return of the Gypceros in the Gypceros Hunt. Additional new content is promised for reveal at a later date.
Players who take part in the Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta 2 will receive special rewards for their early participation. The Open Beta Test Bonus Pendant and the OBT 2 Bonus Item Pack will be available for redemption for all participants. It is important to note that players who earned the pendant during the first test period will not receive a second pendant. However, players will obtain both Bonus Item Packs for participating in both beta tests.
Monster Hunter Wilds is set to launch for PS5 on February 28, 2025, with a price tag of $69.99. Additionally, there will be a Deluxe Edition and Premium Deluxe Edition available on the PlayStation Store for $89.99 and $109.99 respectively. All three editions will include bonus content for preorders, such as the Hunter Layered Armor Set: Guild Knight and the Talisman: Hope Charm.
