In an exciting development for fans of Sega’s long-running crime saga, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is set to receive a New Game Plus mode as part of a free post-launch update. The announcement was made during a recent 15-minute Like a Dragon Direct showcase that focused on the upcoming Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii game. This move represents a shift in strategy for Sega, following the previous controversy surrounding the exclusive New Game Plus feature in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth’s Deluxe and Ultimate Editions.
Details about the Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii’s New Game Plus mode are scarce at the moment. However, Sega has confirmed that it will be included in a post-release patch, which will be rolled out after the game’s launch on 21st February.
During the Like a Dragon Direct stream, developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio delved deeper into the game’s various systems, offering insights into land and sea combat, ship customization, crew building, side activities, and more.
Fans can look forward to Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii’s release on 21st February for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. In addition to the standard edition priced at £54.99, Sega is offering a Deluxe Edition for £64.99, which includes the Legendary Pirate Crew Pack, Legendary Outfit Pack, Ship Customization Pack, and Extra Karaoke & CD Pack.
