Developer MegaPixel Studio and publisher Forever Entertainment Announce The House of the Dead 2: Remake

MegaPixel Studio and Forever Entertainment have unveiled a new trailer for The House of the Dead 2: Remake, set to launch in Spring 2025 for PC, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox.

Storyline

The game takes place in 2000, two years after the events of the first installment, where monsters have overrun a small city. Players step into the shoes of secret agents James Taylor or Gary Stewart to investigate the source of the monster infestation, with the added option of teaming up in co-op mode.

Gameplay Features

Other than the main storyline, players can delve into Boss Rush mode to challenge themselves in defeating the game’s bosses at top speed. The training mode is available for players to practice and enhance their skills across various scenarios before taking on their mission. The game offers multiple endings, branching levels, and the choice to experience the classic soundtrack or the remastered version.

The House of the Dead originally debuted as a horror rail-shooter series developed by Sega in 1996. The first game was remade in 2022. The sequel, The House of the Dead 2, initially launched in 1998 in arcades and later expanded to platforms like Dreamcast, PC, Xbox, and Wii.
