Team Liquid and Gaimin Gladiators Among Invited Teams for PGL Wallachia Season 3
Team Liquid and Gaimin Gladiators have been announced as two of the eight teams invited to take part in Dota 2’s prestigious PGL Wallachia Season 3 tournament. This event, organized by PGL, will feature a total of 16 teams battling it out for a prize pool of $1 million (~£812,915).
The highly anticipated competition is scheduled to be held at the PGL Studios in Romania from March 8th to 16th, 2025. Alongside Team Liquid and Gaimin Gladiators, other invited teams include Aurora Gaming, Xtreme Gaming, Tundra Esports, Heroic, Team Falcons, and Team Spirit.
The remaining eight spots in the tournament will be filled through qualifiers, with teams from Europe, the Americas, Southeast Asia, and China securing their places in the prestigious event.
Notably, all eight teams that received direct invites for PGL Wallachia Season 3 finished in the top 12 of Valve’s season-ending tournament last year, showcasing the high level of competition expected at the upcoming event.
PGL Wallachia Season 3 Format
PGL Wallachia Season 3 will feature a group stage followed by playoffs. The top eight teams from the group stage will advance to the playoffs, while the remaining teams will be eliminated from the competition.
During the playoffs, the top eight teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket to determine the ultimate winner, who will walk away with $300,000 (~£243,683) in prize money. Additionally, all participating teams are guaranteed to earn at least $10,000 (~£8,124) in prize winnings.
