Valorant has recently introduced a new cosmetic type called FLEX in the game. These FLEX cosmetics were added in the latest update for Season 25 Act 1. Let’s dive into what FLEX is all about.

What is FLEX?

So, what exactly is FLEX? In a video released by Valorant’s Devs, FLEX is described as a new way for players to customize their accounts. The update includes two FLEX cosmetics: one that is free for everyone and another that is paid. These cosmetics can be used at any point during the round.

All Flex Cosmetics So Far

Currently, there are only two FLEX cosmetics available in the game. These can be equipped in the spray tab of Valorant. The cosmetics will take up one slot on the spray wheel, and players can equip multiple FLEX cosmetics in the wheel. Interestingly, walking speed with FLEX equipped remains the same as when players have their abilities on hand. Here are all the available FLEX cosmetics:

STAT-COM

  • How to Get: Free with the V25S1 update.
  • Description: This communication device displays the Agent you’re using and your player card. It comes with an inspect animation.

Stellar Dendrite

  • How to Get: Premium Battle Pass
  • Description: A snowflake that can be spun around on the Agent’s hand. The snowflake includes an inspect animation.

Are FLEX Cosmetics Worth It?

FLEX Cosmetics offer a unique twist to Valorant’s customization options. The big question remains – are they worth it? At the moment, it’s hard to say, but future releases could prove decisive. The Devs have teased the possibility of future FLEX items such as a block of cheese or a plush toy. However, some players have raised concerns about the pricing of these cosmetics. It would be ideal if FLEX cosmetics were bundled with skin collections, as standalone items might not attract as many purchases. Some streamers, like TenZ, have humorously likened the FLEX items to fidget spinners!

Players often engage in their melee animation while waiting for the round to start, and FLEX cosmetics could be a response to that behavior.
