The latest update in Fisch, called the Golden Tide, is now available for players to enjoy. This update introduces a new challenge of catching unique fishes, so if you’re a completionist aiming to catch every fish in the game, act fast as this event will only last until January 25, 2025.
How to Complete the Golden Tide Bestiary in Fisch
To begin the Golden Tide event, players need to speak with the Dr. Glimmerfin NPC located in Moosewood near the Shipwright. He will task players with finding four specific types of algae—Ancient, Forsaken, Mushgrove, and Snowcap. Once these are collected and given to him, players can start working towards completing the Golden Tide bestiary.
To locate the fish unique to the Golden Tide event, keep an eye out for Golden Tide pools in the Ocean. These pools will have a golden line extending skyward and will remain active for 13 minutes. Note that using a Sundial Totem will not manually spawn these pools, so it’s best to avoid using them for this purpose.
There are five unique and limited-time fish that players can catch to complete the Golden Tide bestiary: Tidal Pike, Confetti Shark, Eternal Frostwhale, Hourglass Bass, and Countdown Perch. Each fish requires a specific bait to increase the chances of catching it. Most of these baits can be acquired from crates sold by merchants or fished out from water, with some rarer baits obtained through different methods.
