Asian esports event organiser Hero Esports has recently announced the prize pool for its latest multi-title tournament, the Asian Champions League (ACL).

As shared on the official ACL social media page, the overall prize pool for the competition is set at 15m RMB (~£1.67m). The specific distribution of the prize pool among different game titles will be disclosed later.

Furthermore, Hero Esports has confirmed that Crossfire and Delta Force will be part of the inaugural ACL event alongside popular titles like CS2, Street Fighter, League of Legends, Honor of Kings, and PUBG.

Where will the Asian Champions League take place?

The ACL will be managed by the newly established organization named the Asia Champions League Foundation, which will have its own leadership team. VSPO’s Co-founders Jonny Wang and Xie Fan will assume the roles of Chief Executive and President of the ACL, respectively.

Established in 2016, Hero Esports (formerly known as VSPO) stands as one of the prominent tournament organizers in Asia. The company garnered attention in 2023 when it secured a $265m (~£219m) investment from Savvy Games Group, a Saudi Arabian investment entity initiated and owned by the government’s Public Investment Fund (PIF).

With its headquarters in Shanghai, Hero Esports has been actively involved in esports events such as the Olympic Esports Week, the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games, and the Esports World Cup (EWC).

Moreover, the ACL has revealed a partnership with the EWC, with discussions underway on how the multi-title esports tournament can be seamlessly integrated into the global EWC qualification process this year.
