BLAST Bounty and PGL Tournaments in 2027

Esports tournament leaders BLAST and PGL have unveiled their plans for hosting Counter-Strike 2 events simultaneously in 2027. BLAST Bounty is scheduled for January 13th-24th, 2027, aligning with PGL’s unidentified tournament, which will conclude on January 25th.

Upcoming CS2 Events

While the dates are set, specific details regarding the tournaments remain undisclosed at this time. Valve’s recent mandate requires event organizers to announce 2027 tournaments two years in advance, ensuring stability for CS2’s event calendar.

BLAST and PGL’s Extensive Experience

BLAST and PGL have a rich history of hosting successful Counter-Strike tournaments, including Valve-sanctioned Majors and top-tier events featuring the world’s best teams. Both organizers have already confirmed multiple Counter-Strike 2 competitions for 2025 and 2026.

Opportunities and Challenges

With the prospect of teams having to select which events to participate in during the 2027 season, lower-ranked teams might find new opportunities to compete on a prominent stage. This clash of events could bring about a shift in the competitive landscape.
